About the Department

The Chennai National arts and Science College began offering B.Com Corporate Secretary ship in 2019. It is an undergraduate degree program that focuses on equipping students with comprehensive knowledge of corporate law, governance practices and secretarial procedures. It guides the students in preparing them for careers as company secretaries or corporate governance professionals within organizations. The course typically covers subjects like company law, corporate governance, financial management, taxation and secretarial practices, enabling graduates to manage compliance, board meetings and other key corporate functions within a company.

GOALS

This course empowers students to perform essential roles in corporate governance, compliance and management roles, positioning them as valuable asset to organizations. The program also facilitates professional recognition and gives bright career opportunities for students.

Eligibility: +2 pass from Academic/Vocation stream or its equivalent recognized by Madras University preferably with Commerce and Accountancy.

This program is designed so as to enable the students to assist expert organization in the area of Costing, Accounting, Company Law and Business Finance. It also intends to qualify the students to pursue careers such as Company Secretary, Chartered Accountant, Cost and Work Accountant, Certified Financial Analyst and Business and Industry needs Relating to Management, Accountancy, Costing, Finance and Company Secretary Ship. It provides the basic needs for MBA, CA, ICWA, CFA and CS Admission. Today, it is necessary to meet the needs of business by improving the turnout of professionals as well as providing new set of professionals where they will assist on the business on a day today basis in the above areas.
